A success story is always good to hear.
Real patient success stories validate cannabis as a medicine, proving its healing properties and uses for an improved quality of life and well-being…

Studies on the potential benefits of THC acid have started to show the following outcomes:

· Analgesic – Relieves pain

· Anti-Emetic – Reduces vomiting, nausea, and appetite loss

· Anti-Inflammatory – Reduces inflammation; for treatment of arthritis and lupus

· Anti-Insomnia – Aids with sleep

· Anti-Proliferative – Inhibits cancer cell growth; noted in studies of prostate cancer

· Antispasmodic – Suppresses muscle spasms

· Modulates Immune System – THCa has been shown to both improve and potentially suppress the immune system functions

· Neuroprotective – Slows damage to the nervous system and brain; for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

What is THCa?

THCa is the precursor to the intoxicating THC compound. In order to produce THC, the cannabis plant material needs to be exposed to heat (even sunlight), once heated the THCa loses its acidic carbonyl group to become THC. THC acid doesn’t have the psychoactive properties that THC is renown for. This is why you won’t feel any effects if you chew on some freshly harvested cannabis; there has been very little time for sunlight or other sources of energy to encourage THC formation. Cannabis is able to produce intoxicating effects when used because the most common methods of consuming cannabis – smoking, vaporising, baking into an edible, or extraction to form a concentrate – are all powerful enough to kickstart the process of transforming THCa into the more intoxicating THC.

Before she came down with insomnia, Sonia led the quintessential Aussie lifestyle; surfing, playing tennis, going for bike rides and beach walks. After a near-death motor vehicle accident Sonia developed flash-backs from the accident, which in turn led to insomnia. After trying dozens of prescribed treatments, Sonia did her homework and opted for a therapeutic trial involving THCa. After months of feeling “foggy” due to prescription medications and lack of sleep, Sonia felt she had nothing more to lose. THCa medical cannabis helped her and she was able to enjoy a much better quality of life.

The health benefits provided by THCa are best absorbed by the body through a raw method of consumption such as cannabis juicing. THCa works to relieve inflammation, pain and is an ideal cannabinoid for treating the symptoms of arthritis, seizures and pain.

“I considered myself healthy until the winter of 2018”. I was 30 years old, working full-time and studying law. I came down with pneumonia, hospitalised, and hooked up to a drip ingesting a cocktail of drugs.

Once the pneumonia was gone I experienced frequent spasms throughout my body. Over time, the spasms intensified becoming painful and throbbing, with a burning sensation in my chest and spine.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with neuropathy and referred to a specialist for treatment. I was surprised when my specialist told me he encourages his patients to utilise cannabis as a supplement to prescribed medications.

To decrease the seizures and muscle spasms I tried a balance of prescription medications and THCa for a year. I now use only THCa to treat the seizures and their effects, giving me lasting relief.”

One of the most popular ways to consume THCa is through raw cannabis. As the cannabis is never heated THCa does not convert into the intoxicating THC. This way, consumers can enjoy using THCa for medicinal or therapeutic purposes without getting a cannabis “high”.

Some of the leading medical cannabis manufacturers we work with are able to create THCa medicine from the cannabis plant. Utilizing a purely mechanical process that naturally separates raw THCA and specific cannabis derived terpenes from resin glands harvested from the surface of cannabis buds. The process does NOT use any chemicals, decarboxylation, or post refinement of any kind. The infusion process includes a liquid suspension of THCa and Terpenes in pharmaceutical grade MCT.

THCa has changed my life! After living with fibromyalgia (an intensely painful musculoskeletal disorder), I spent my days in pain, nausea, anxiety, inflammation, fatigue, insomnia, and on a really bad day – bouts of depression.

On the advice of my doctor, I’ve been trialling THCa for a little over a week. My life changed overnight! I cried tears of joy on the second day after waking from a decent sleep, feeling less nauseous and pain. As the week continued, I felt more energised.

I feel happy for the first time in years.

There are also raw cannabis tinctures and edibles that can be bought pre-made on the market, which contain high levels of THCa. These products have the advantage of being labelled with precise dosing information, so that users know exactly how much THCa (and other cannabinoids) they’re consuming.

“I am a cancer survivor! After surgery and radiation therapy for prostate cancer, I decided to try THCa after researching cannabis products. My attitude was “give it a go”. I found sleeping was difficult due to pressure pain. After a few days ingesting THCa, my pain levels are down and I am sleeping much better. Not because the THCa puts me to sleep, but because I am able to sleep pain free.  My illness is chronic, meaning control is the best I can hope for and THCa is doing it for me. A few drops under my tongue is all I require.”

THCa affects your body in a similar way to their cannabinoid cousins, by interacting with the endocannabinoid system in your nervous system. There have been some positive results that suggest THCa can help boost the immune system of certain patients and help them avoid and fight sickness more effectively.

“I started using THCa to boost my weakened immune system after suffering years of childhood asthma.

Almost immediately “a fog lifted” that I didn’t even realise I had. I feel more energetic, more motivated and first the first time in my life I feel truly healthy.

When needed, I take a few drops under my tongue and within a few minutes I feel better. I am so grateful to have found THCa.”

Preliminary research and anecdotal evidence suggest that THCa will play a pivotal role in cannabis medicine as the industry propels forward.

“I’m a Vietnam vet. I was in a serious skydiving accident resulting is broken limbs as well as spinal injuries. I have PTSD, and suffer chronic pain from my accident. I wanted to get off opioids and my doctor suggested I try medicinal marijuana. I had never used marijuana but through specialist experimentation I found that THCa works for me, and I no longer need opioid based medicines. I’m more productive when I am not foggy with opioids. Life is a lot calmer now and my family life has improved tremendously.”

“In December 2017, I sought alternative therapeutic relief from lower back pain due to a herniated disk. Sitting or standing for any length of time results in severe back pain and muscle spasms. I tried many different forms of relief; massage, chiropractors, physical therapy and over-the-counter medications which caused an upset stomach, even after standard doses. By the New Year, my back pain also led to insomnia. I found it difficult to fall asleep and to stay asleep. I began using medical cannabis and after several different types of ingesting this miracle herbal remedy, I found THCa worked best for me. I do not feel any side effects, and the spasms in my lower back have ceased. I can now fall asleep and stay asleep giving me a better quality of life.”

Unlike THC, THCa is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in raw and live cannabis. As the plant dries, THCA slowly converts to THC. Heat expedites this conversion in a process known as decarboxylation, a fancy word that describes what happens when you smoke or vaporize flower. There isn’t enough research on THCa to definitively state what it can treat and with what degree of efficacy, but preliminary research and anecdotal evidence suggest that THCa will play a pivotal role in cannabis medicine as the industry moves forward.

“I wanted to share my cannabis experience with you because it has exceeded my expectations.

I have problems with my ankle from an old sports injury. This resulted in painful neurological damage. To make matters worse, I now also suffer low back pain, caused when I walk, whilst trying to compensate for stress on my ankle.

As an athlete, I was reluctant to rely on the prescribed opioids for any length of time. After trying several different cannabis medications, I found that the non-psychotic THCa works for me, and I have no need for anything else.

I am a true believer and a huge advocate for medical cannabis.”
